GOD, what is happening???

Okay, so we are very confused. When we moved down here, we had a peace on what God was doing in our life. The picture was clear. We were loving spending more time with the kids (around unpacking) and spending time as a family. And loved not doing our yard work mostly. (when the sprinklers turn on Donny loves saying "There is my yard crew working hard").

But then we get a phone call from Portland Fire today. They are calling him up, which we knew would happen, but they sad not until February. Hello! This is September and he starts school on Monday! We are excited, but now if he gets hired, we are out about $4000 for his school which originally if it was February, he could put on hold and finish later. I guess everything is for a reason. Do not get me wrong, we are very happy and excited, just crazy how things happen. So as it stands, he has his last chief interview next Friday the 21st and the physical the same day. If he passes and gets a job offer, he would start the academy November 15th they said. So we should hear back from Seattle and Portland fire around the end of October for sure, so he may have a chose between the two.

He is still planning on attending school just as always since neither job is guaranteed and we always want a backup. So until he has that final job offer, we are going on as planned.

And since no post is fun without a picture here is my little astronaut. He made this hat while staying at my sisters in August... to cute! Avery has one to, but did not want her picture taken.
