No Portland Fire...

So we got a letter on Wednesday from Portland Fire and Donny did not make the hire this time. They keep him on the list for the next Academy, but his score has to out rank everyone else that they interview, and there is not a real good chance that will happen. We are actually ok with this however. He was really debating whether or not he was even going to take it, but he would have liked to have the choice.
It is just funny how God works. We have been worried about Portland in the back of our minds, they call us 5 months earlier then they were supposed to, and within a week, that door is shut. So now Donny can concentrate on school, and not always have it in the back of his mind that he may have to drop out. Now we are still waiting to hear from Seattle, but it is probably not likely that he would get hired there. You never know, maybe it will be better timing and he will. But for now, he is happy knowing that he is doing what he has worked towards for the past 2 years and we are on the right track. Thank you for all your prayers.
